Durdle Door, Dorset
England
Durdle Door is one of the most recognisable locations in the UK and one of the most photographed coastal locations on the Dorset Jurassic Coast.
It is a stunning natural limestone arch, near to Lulworth Cove. The area is privately owned by the Lulworth Estate and open to the public.
Some of the best photos are achieved from the cliffs above or from the shoreline at Durdle Door beach, this is the beach to the right of the door as you look out to sea.
Man o' War Cove, to the left of the door, is also very popular and picturesque in it's own right.

How To Get There
Either park at Durdle Door car park at the holiday park (https://goo.gl/maps/oQgY4zbopemJ1ZHK9) or at Lulworth Cove (https://goo.gl/maps/oGoJ39dirZQtFcdE7). Both car parks are chargeable.
The walk from the Durdle Door car park is about 1 mile, the walk from Lulworth Cove is approximately 1.5 miles each way.
Do not park on the nearby roads, it causes a lot of problems and in recent years the cars have been towed with owners being fined.
The Trip Involves
Environmental Impact
The area is considered important for it's geology, the soils are also fragile. The number of visitors causes a lot of erosion with paths frequently needing to be reinstated. By keeping to established roads and paths you can reduce your impact on this beautiful part of the south coast.
